I used to eat here very often. The menu changed, prices hiked and people stopped going. It has been closed for a while now. The restaurant that replaced it is terrible. Overpriced Italian food that wasn't tasty at all. Shame Shuga closed.

We had our sons christening lunch at Shuga- only to regret every minute. Firstly the communication between the manager and staff is very poor. I had rang twice to confirm prior to out function that we would be able to and setup the night before- we were told yes- we show up the night before only to be lectured by the manager that we needed to speak with him and run it by him first as "he is busy". We looked around at the restaurant only had 4 tables occupied and looked dead. We didn't understand what was so hard about just setting up our corner for the function. Then the manager decided to tell us that we had to pay the outstanding balance in cash (that's a very dodgy statement to make considering we paid our deposit by card) the day of our function there was no background music which made the atmosphere very quiet and awkward. They didn't turn on any cooling and the air was smokey and hot!!! FOOD: The tasting platters had very little food and no seasoning on it- the eggplant chips were bland, the cheese was dry. The orange juice was watered down and had a bitter taste to it. The main Greek platters had lamb that smelt off and tasted old. Our whole experience was disappointing and a complete waste of money. The manager just talks to make himself appear important and kept disappearing. There was no communication to see if we needed anything or how the food was. You're better off going down the road to roxy kebab for fresh tasty food at great prices.
