We arrived in town late on a Friday afternoon and were well and truly ready for a coffee after a long day of driving and surfing. Although I wandered around in the cafe and even called out, there was no one for miles and no response. We ended up having coffee at the pub - which was very good actually - but I found this deserted cafe very strange.
The cost of fresh but basic sandwiches was more than in the Melbourne CBD as was coffee. Although Birregurra is sold as a foody's town because of Brae, it is not an excuse for other venues to overcharge.

For that special occasion or just to treat yourself to something amazing then you must experience this restaurant. Not only is the food a taste sensation, its also had exceptional presentation. The staff are friendly, informative and efficient, they are like a well oiled team, delivering our dishes at the same time ( there were 4 of us) and even pouring respective sauces together. Hats off to the chefs who you could see working away in the kitchen. We had the luxury of staying in the suites that are on the property and so glad we did. We couldn't fault the rooms. Home away from home.

We had a beautiful pizza lunch and coffee on the way through Birregurra. Birregurra Farm Foods is in a lovely main street setting with plenty of parking and easy access. The pizza was delicious and tasty. Service was good and the restaurant was very busy on a sunny Winter's Sunday.
