Tried the place once for lunch during our 3 day stay at the bogging alpine village.It's more of a pub with pub food.Was disappointed with the quality of food, portion sizes, there weren't many options. The options they had for lunch were sold out before 1.Would recommend going up to falls creek or mount beauty instead.
We came here for a coffee and ice cream after walking around the gorgeous Lake Guy. This place also known as Jack's Tavern.The lady running the bar did not even verbally welcome us! That was our first impression. We ordered some coffees, tea and ice creams. We could not pay with a $50 note - had to look for something smaller. My husband got told off (very insulting and very rude) by the lady serving about keeping the ice cream lid open for 5 seconds. Are you kidding?????The lady from the next door accomodation place also helped to serve. She was no friendlier. We asked about the paddle boats and she was harsh in her answer and slammed the door.Coffee was cold.No offer to open the umbrellas.You guys need to big wake up call. I have visited this place on and off for over 20 years. I bought friends up for the first time.Is this how you treat tourists and visitors?Hint to all: visit Bogong Village. Do the walk. Bring your own picnic lunch. Don't bother eating or drinking here.
