Stars from BOONDALL Opening hours

Booked a set menu for a 6pm table ahead of a 7.30 show. Were seated right on 6pm. While the staff were very friendly and accommodating they didn't want to take our order (select from a set menu..what is so difficult about that?) and kept insisting that the food arrived very quickly and there was no need to worry. By 6.20 our drinks order hadn't arrived and by 6.30 our order hadn't been taken. Drinks appeared after a follow up and an apology about a mix up of orders t the bar. Eventually we were "allowed" to order, and the mains when they did arrive at 7pm were good. Then of course there was no time for dessert, which we were offered to have at interval. Err... no thanks. We demanded a price reduction, which we eventually received after more delays. Didn't feel the discount of $15 per person was enough compensation to cover the loss of dessert, tea/coffee and the STRESS of the whole experience. We were prepared to pay a premium for the convenience of pre-show dining. Stars failed us miserably. Our entire seating section had the same experience, so it wasn't us being picky. It could have been so good. Hope they address these issues at their next staff training session.

I was looking on eating before the show close to the Ent Centre so googled it expecting burger and chip options and to my surprise there is a restaurant there and being valentines day we booked and were pleasantly surprised at the professional staff and menu options. There is also a great range of alcohol from beers and wines to cocktails. The prices are reasonable considering the quality of food. It is just to your right as you walk in the main doors
