I skipped breakfast so I stopped in to Subway Burleigh for a "Fresh" healthy brunch. 2 hours later I was feeling seedy and an hour after I was on the toilet for the rest of the afternoon. Definitely not fresh. Wont be back

Cafes, Vegetarian Friendly, australian, Vegan Options, Hobby Shops

Went for breakfast here as we had been a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Apparently the business has changed ownership since. We were greeted to several empty stainless steel display cabinets and one with a few sickly looking cafe items under it. The AstroTurf and neon lights in the cabinet didn't help. While the cafe was relatively empty, the noise in the place made it nearly impossible to talk to the person next to you. Having a juice and coffee bar in the same space as the tables doesn't help, and the juicer is extremely loud and interrupting when it's in use.The decor is dingy and a bit dated; there's no real coherent style and it gives the place a cold industrial feel. The couches in the corner were once modern red pleather, but are now tatty and look pretty rough. Coffee was pretty bland, bafflingly received a long black in a huge mug so it was quite watery. The meals were overpriced and quite ordinary. We all ordered at the same time but the meals were brought out some time apart from each other. While quite nice, they were nothing to rave about. The breads that came with the breakfast were a letdown - they looked and tasted like something you would get from the 7-11 next door. Overall the Magic Apple offers a tempting draw card as being one of the only places around that offer full organic vegetarian and vegan meals, but one could do far better from a vegetarian or vegan option from a mixed cafe.
