Popped into Muzza's Gourmet Pies with Mini Meatball and sampled the Chunky Beef Pie and the Rocky Road. The Chunky Beef Pie had nice big chunks of beef in a thick, rich sauce with a nice amount of black pepper. This was really nice and rated 3.5-4. The Rocky Road was ok, but tasted like it has probably been sitting in the case a while. This rated a 3. I wouldn't hesitate to return for a Pie when I'm in the neighborhood.
Has changed hands and is now really crap! I work near this Muzzas and it used to be really good. I eat there at least once a week. It has recently changed hands and I'm disappointed to say the new owners have decided to change the quality of the product. For the worse. I can only assume they are trying to save money. I've tried 4 times now and am about to give up. When I get a sausage roll and there is literally only 1 inch of meat in the pastry, that's bad. When I go in at my normal lunch hour or 1pm and they are out of everything but chicken pies, that's bad. I tried a mince meat today and it was mostly nasty tasting gravy and very little meat. I will give them one more chance before I stop because I used to like them. But after 4 weeks and it just getting worse and worse, I doubt it will improve. I'm sad.
