The Casa Italia that we experienced for many years has gone, but since November 2016, Pizzantica has reopened on the premises on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.We found live music playing, several tables for couples and a group attractively laid outside, and attentive staff.We both opted for the cannelloni and a carafe of house wine which took a while to arrive.It was very good and had been cooked through in the oven, but left to cool off before being served, so it could have been hotter, and served faster, but was nevertheless tasty.To compensate for the delay, we were offered a small tub of lemon sorbet on the house. It was delicious.Compared to the family venue that often teemed with children and Italian families, we found this much more suited to couples seeking a nice evening meal. It wasn't clear whether the live music was a regular feature, but the jazz-style was good and lasted until about 8 pm.
