My husband and I celebrated our 100th month anniversary on the weekend and boy oh boy.... how have we not heard of this place before??? We had a fantastic experience from booking to walking out of their doors. The night started off with the Quail for entré my husband had the market fish (Barramundi) and I couldn't go past the Duck confit. The flavours were beautifully balanced with good portion sizes. Furthermore, the service was attentive and surprisingly very quick! If you're a Brisbanite and haven't been here... do yourself a favour and check it out!! ????????

This was a take out order which was much needed after a long day of exploring Moreton Island. My expectations were not high, but were greatly exceeded. The pizza was very good and the service prompt.

Not a good sign when on a Thursday night, all surrounding restaurants are busy and this one is not. We used to be regular diners years ago at the old Toscanis venue but since giving this one several chances over the past couple of years, I think it is time to give up.Salmon fillet with bones drowning in balsamic, chewy scallopine with an overload of garlic and lumpy potatoes were a disappointment. Service was average at best. I complained about the meals and was promptly given the bill to settle. The owner / manager was completely oblivious to what was going on in her restaurant……happy to chat with some chefs the entire time we were there and it seemed to be more social than business.There are too many other great options for dining – give it a big miss !

Terrible service. &nbsp;We ordered one half strength latte coffee - we received a full strength coffee.<br> We ordered 2 lemon lime &amp; bitters &amp; they only gave us one.<br> My daughter bought a steak sandwich which was good but was the first thing that came out. &nbsp;A bit bizzare.&nbsp;<br> I ordered a turkey &amp; cranberry sandwich &amp; instead of FOUR small triangles of bread, I only got TWO!!! &nbsp;Did they only use ONE piece of bread???&nbsp;<br> The meals did not come out at the same time. &nbsp;<br> My Mum had finished her coffee before the "meal" &nbsp;The Shingle Inn UPSTAIRS is much more organised &amp; they have FOUR small triangles for their sandwiches. To top it off, as it was a public holiday, the small meal we had also had a surcharge so we spent around $46.<br> Will never go there again. &nbsp;If I go to the Shingle in at Garden City, it will only be the upstairs one. &nbsp;The service was disgusting downstairs.

If I could give it a 0 I would.<br> I was the biggest fan of this place when I lived in the area and decided after about a while of not buying from here I would go out of my way to go back. I was so upset when I received my usual order and it not being what it used to be. <br> I think it is under new ownership as it was different staff and it completely lacked everything that I remember. <br> My seafood laksa was flavorless, powdery and had 2 prawns, 1 tiny piece of fish, 2 pieces of over cooked calamari and 5 pieces of over cooked broccoli. I couldn't even eat it. I am heart broken that a place that was once so good has rapidly declined. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
