The Elefant Lounge Cafe in Sandringham is a favourite of mine and my regular place for my daily caffeine fix. Eric and his staff are always friendly and welcoming and Emma is a wonderful cook. Today I treated myself to lunch and had the most delicious meal of corn fritters with salsa, avocado and rocket served with sweet chilli sauce and sour cream. It looked fabulous as well as tasting great and was a generous size. I definitely recommend this cafe as the best in Sandringham for both food, coffee and service.
My husband and I visited the Elephant Lounge Cafe in June 2017. We had banana smoothies, a steak sandwich and french toast. The food is all beautifully presented. In fact, if I was that way inclined, I would have posted pictures of the food on Instagram. It looked that good. And it wasn't just our food. We watched other people being served and everyone had magazine worthy food. The food tasted good and serving sizes were on the generous size. The service was quick and when we were asked if we needed anything I genuinely thought the waiter meant it. If the decor was improved I probably give it 5 stars and I rarely score that high. I would definitely go back.

Tried this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday night. It's a small restaurant and with.no booking we were quickly shown to a table. Waitress service was friendly and quite fast although she was very busy with takeaway orders. We then waited at least 40 minutes for our entree and another long wait for the main curries, rice and accompaniments. The food was outstanding, easily some of the best Indian food we have tasted - and we have visited many Indian/Nepalese restaurants in Australia and overseas. Perhaps the kitchen was busy with takeaway orders, but the long wait for our meals was disappointing. Food is definitely a 5 rating but the slow kitchen service pulled the rating down to an overall 3. Given the quality of the food, we will definitely return, perhaps midweek when it may be less busy in the kitchen.

The presentation is lovely, with extra care taken to make things look delightful. I have eaten there twice now and the freshness of the ingredients is outstanding and the service very good. My one little criticism would be that the food needs a little more 'zing'. As I say you can tell it is fresh and very good quality, but can tend towards the slightly bland. It only needs a slight change and it would be fantastic.

Just a short stroll from the Buckingham International Hotel is a street with a range of food options and one of them is Supreme Thai. This is your typical family restaurant serving quickly made and filling food. They do eat in or take away and seemed popular for the latter amongst people who appeared to be locals. The staff were friendly and it was fairly cheap too.All up if you are in the area for business or pleasure and want a quick fix of some Thai then this place seems to fit the bill.

After a bit of a battle to find parking, we found the brewery restaurant was very hospitable and welcoming. The staff friendly and engaging and there was a nice relaxed hum in the dining area. Our party of 40 guests were able to enjoy conversation over some of the brews. The Baltic was the stand out for me and everyone enjoyed the different flavours. The Hazelnut finish was also very popular. The food was not to my taste and because we had enjoyed a big breakfast, the get together was at 2pm, I was not hungry. The meals that I saw come out of the kitchen, did not tempt me to return there for a meal, but for a beer and chat, spot on.

We are spoilt for great food in the Cheltenham area, and Indian Burrp is right up there at the top of my "Love Eating There" list.Rash is a great host and the service is bewt, but we go there for the food.I've never been able to get Anne to eat goat (she hates the bones) but, when I told her that the Goat Hari Mirch (not available for take-away) was EVEN BETTER than the Burrpi Lamb Cutlets, she had to give it a try... Now she has a new favourite. The Peni Puri balls and the Onion Bhajji are AWESOME. I do wish they'd bring back the smashed potato balls they had as a Christmas special last year.
