Like a lot of Chinese restaurants, it lacks a certain ambience, but its fresh, clean and a great place to get together with friends or family to get together over some honest and tasty food. It's not big inside, so with diners at a few tables it becomes a hive of activity. Staff are friendly and attentive, servings are generous and well priced. A few favourites, pork ribs in plum sauce and the king prawn omelette are great.

So I took my family out for mother's day and we were served by polite and hardworking staff. The food is made with absolute effort and tasted delicious. This place is the only restaurant I get my chinese from and now I cant stop coming!

A place locals and visitors would previously avoid is now a focal point for Cleveland. For a start the renovations undertaken have transformed this ugly ducking into a pretty swan. The Sands is now an enjoyable place to eat, drink and kick back and listen to the world go by with a little acoustic accompaniment from the bard of the day. The food on the menu is well thought out and suits the entire family, from the carnivorous meat eater who demands STEAK at all costs to the connoisseur of seafood, or the vegetarian of the group. And the kids aren't missing out either with drinks and dessert thrown into their ample selection.To a fault the staff are polite and helpful and make a visit enjoyable for all.

I have been here twice and both times were delicious. Once handed the menu (on a giant Meat Clever *interesting*) I chose the Peppered NY Strip Steak. The salad bar is also very good with many options. Not sure if you could just order the salad bar but if you could it would be well worth it. So, if you are in town make sure to dine here at least once.

This is a useful little cafe for the many people who work close by. Good coffee, great service, nice food, although nothing too exciting. The menu is an annoying format and the huge blackboard is blank, which is sad. On the upside, they put a couple of chocolate coated coffee beans on your spoon, which is a nice touch. Yes, I'll pop in for coffee once or twice a week.
