We went to dinner in the student house, and while food was solid, the treatment we received from one of the waiters ensures that there is no return visit. First, the food: The menu is meatship with highlights that are the roasted pork knuckle, sauerkraut and fried red cabbage. The sausages and schnitzels were not really memorable. In one piece for a piece half cut half, the Stuyvesant schnitzel was much overpriced; Even if you fancy in the Hollandaise and the cheese. Pork ribs had a beautiful sticky sweet sauce, but the meat was a bit dried. The extensive drink list seems to be an important attraction - we discovered a Grange offered by the glass in 1992. Our dinner was affected by an arrogant older waiter, who is happy to make snide and sarcastic comments. First of all, we ceased as his standard behavior, but his interactions with other tables made it clear that his contempt was reserved for us. Maybe it was because we did not order drinks ...? Regardless of that the attitude we got were unjustified and let us feel uncomfortable. We found the female server (owner?) And cook much friendlier and inviting. I intended to rate this due to the service 2.5, but it was really just a waiter who was shitty. The student house is therefore a solid 3, but I would still return anyone yet.
