If you can find a better steak in Australia I want to know about it! The restaurant is nice and central so walking there is easy. The dining room has a great atmosphere which is only improved by the friendly wait staff. I had a 3 course meal and had the dessert not been so delicious there is no way I could have fit it all in. I had the pork belly for entree, the steak for mains and a chocolate mousse with peppermint and coconut for dessert. All of it was fantastic! (even the complimentary cob loaf starter was great!) If you find yourself in Launceston and want to really treat yourself to some exceptional food then this is the place!

Had an amazing birthday dinner here for my partner. Every course was simply delicious, there were a few changes to the menu as well from our last visit which is good to see, started with a selection of oysters, buttermilk quail and old favorite pork belly wraps, always delicious, mains were the bacon wrapped eye fillet, cooked beautifully, fish of the day being hapuka coumd not go past this option as it is a wonderful fish. Dessert was the rich chocolate mousse, a must for chocolate lovers and service was fantastic and could not fault it, from the owners smiling face on our entry to the informative and knowledgable table service from our waitress

The curry was bland and lukewarm and no atmosphere at all. The Lassi was good but with places like Spice or Pickled evenings as alternatives, there is no way I would come back. So disappointed.

Great spot for the grown ups when visiting Penny Royal Adventure. Great range of craft beers and spirits (gin, vodka) to purchase. The beer tasting paddle of 4 beers of your choice at $5 is great value with generous tasting quantities. Pleasant and helpful service. Recommended.

Quite like the pub next door and apparently this place provides the meals for them. We ordered the "seafood basket". Waited over an hour for it and watched people who ordered well after us get their food. Wondered how long it actually takes to drop crumbed bits in a deep fryer with chips. When we did finally get it, (for $22) it was a sad, cheap little frozen food pack from PFD or somewhere, the one "scallop" was a punched out piece of (probably) skate flap, the three "prawns" were glued together processed cutlets, one calamari ring and a tiny piece of (probably) basa fillet, chips, a blob of bitter weeds and nice tartar sauce. We checked out the menu out the front the next day and probably won't bother, some of the locals are happy to have the food in the pub, but not go into the restaurant. On the upside, the lamb shank looked (a shoulda moment) really good and the parmies looked great too.

That's what I was looking for a week after a week. Everything was so delicious, my favorites were the seafood curry (best fish I've eaten!) And beef vindaloo. The service was great and the restaurant also had a very nice atmosphere. The serving sizes were also very decent compared to what I had in other Indian restaurants. I would highly recommend.

Just popped in for a bite of lunch. Friendly staff, good coffee and warm place to sit. Not fine cuisine but reasonably priced and hubbie would recommend the all day Eggs Benedict. Lots of cake/slice options so a good place for a catch up in a part of town where options are a bit limited.
