We are happy to be open for you. Our current opening hours can be found in the table. Never stand in front of closed doors again! Just check in advance if we are still open. Because nothing is worse than looking for a parking space, then walking to the restaurant to find out that you arrived too late / too early. Just check online if Fraggle's is still open.
The rating of this Tavern is really good. Is is with 4.0 one of the best out there. In the review comments you maybe find special dates where opening times differ.

We love going to Fraggle's and will happily drive across town to get there. Can't beat the fantastic food which is always delicious and great value for money! You are never hungry after eating here!
Amazingly good chips, a great selection of fish and the best fish and chips we could find in Tasmania

Quite like the pub next door and apparently this place provides the meals for them. We ordered the "seafood basket". Waited over an hour for it and watched people who ordered well after us get their food. Wondered how long it actually takes to drop crumbed bits in a deep fryer with chips. When we did finally get it, (for $22) it was a sad, cheap little frozen food pack from PFD or somewhere, the one "scallop" was a punched out piece of (probably) skate flap, the three "prawns" were glued together processed cutlets, one calamari ring and a tiny piece of (probably) basa fillet, chips, a blob of bitter weeds and nice tartar sauce. We checked out the menu out the front the next day and probably won't bother, some of the locals are happy to have the food in the pub, but not go into the restaurant. On the upside, the lamb shank looked (a shoulda moment) really good and the parmies looked great too.

Had a great breakfast of poached eggs on sourdough and coffee. Very good. Perfectly cooked eggs. Fantastic coffee. Very well decorated and comfortable little place with friendly staff. Macaron flavours included raspberry, salted caramel and salted butter popcorn. Amazing!!Absolutely worth hunting out if in Launceston. Is in Elizabeth st just down from Charles.

It's the same address, but this is no longer 'Acropolis Souvlaki Bar' (which used to make great takeaway food). It is now 'King Of Kebabs' and we strongly recommend they be avoided. We paid $10.40 (!) for one regular-sized kebab that was not made with lamb sliced from those vertical spits but was some sort of cheap, processed meat with had an indistinguishable 'meaty' flavour. We don't know if the business has just change their name or it has been taken over by new owners, but ever since then they have gone from good to just awful.I can't think of an alternative place to buy a kebab or souvlaki in Launceston, (there used to be a great one called "Kebab House' on George Street but I believe they are permanently closed), but we would highly advise not patronising this business.
