I came here with some girl friends the other week and we had an amazing time. The staff is very knowledgable about cheese and the pairing drink. It was a lot of fun catching up and trying new things. It's a perfect spot for a date with beau or your best friends.

Really loved our visit to Milk the Cow! We enjoyed the cheese and wine board (4 cheese and 4 wine pairings for $36). The staff were really lovely and explained the pairings well. Really nice atmosphere as well. Would highly recommend.

Goldilocks Bar opening plan
Goldilocks Bar

Melbourne, L 4 264 Swanston St, Melbourne, Victoria 3000, Australia

bars, australian, cocktailbars

This hidden roof top bar (accessed through a dumpling restaurant) is a really relaxed space and has great city views. While the cocktail menu is a little sparse the cocktails are well thought out and high quality. It is a small space with limited seating so not suitable for big groups and does get busy very quickly. Service however was really disorganised - we were seated and then the menu we had was taken off us - never to be returned. It took over 10 minutes and being asked twice if we wanted to order drinks (and promised a menu) before we gave up and hunted down our own menu (they still offered to take our drink order while my friend was looking for the menu and when I explained AGAIN they still didn't help us find one). For such a small space in a competitive city centre location they really need to sort this out. We were probably there 25 minutes before getting our drinks and then the waitress tried to take them away when they were only half finished - which was a definite sign to me that they were trying to force us to order another drink or leave as they were busy. Disappointing as I loved the cocktails and the views.Would I go back: I will probably give goldilocks one more try to see if the service improves as the cocktails were top quality, but I definitely wouldn't be seeking it out as a favourite. With better staff this has the potential to be a really great roof top bar.
