My husband and I ordered some takeaway. When we got home we realised we had a mixed up order. Very disappointing. We found the staff spoke very little English and just seemed to be talking about us in their own language as they continued to look over and laugh while we were waiting. The noodle dishes were dry and over cooked and the Mongolian beef had a mixed up flavour and did not taste like Mongolian beef. Chicken and cashew had barely any chicken or cashews and seemed to just have veggies. Very disappointed!! This place is so over priced... it's around $6 extra per dish just to eat in. Worst Chinese we have ever eaten. When we called to inform the restaurant and they said sorry you feel that way... avoid!!!

We hadn't been to Grand Palace in a while, but decided to go back due to a Group on deal. Food was absolutely delicious and exceptional value for money due to our voucher, having said that they are still very reasonably priced for lunch, not sure about dinner pricing. I wish the restaurant had have been busier to create better atmosphere, so this is a definite hidden gem.. Great food, toilets could have been cleaner and please replace those horrible green wash basins. BUT food was exceptional. We had, spring rolls, chicken and corn soup, Mongolian lamb, fried rice, chicken and cashews, vegetable with oyster sauce and, sweet and sour pork with a Groupon Deal,. Only disappointment was that staff were watching Laptop with movie instead of paying attention to diners, but hey considering the amount of patrons I guess they were bored. Sad for the restaurant as the food is really good.
